主張する衣服展

～ファッションからコスチュームへ～

ファストファッションという言葉と共に、大量生産される衣服で飽和状態にある服飾市場と逆行するように、

静かにゆっくりと生み出される一点ものの服飾作品がある。
技術を凝縮し時間をかけて創作される作品＝コスチュームは、

販売されるだけでなく、表現体としての存在意義を持っています。

本展では、アーティストの手から生み出される一点ものの服飾作品を取り上げ、

消費されるファッションとは違った方向性を持ち、表現体としてのコスチュームへと変化する様々な衣服を展示することで、服飾と身体の新しい関係性を探ります。

Exhibition of costumes

～From fashion to costume～

Our goal is to produce only one costume existing in the world, which might be against the major venue of current fashion industry, namely mass-produced clothing industry.

A costume can be considered as one art piece as a result of condensed time and space. Therefore we believe the costume itself could have the meaning to exist if life is given.

In the exhibition, we are going to seek 

1) new direction of fashion industry, 

2) new relation between a costume and human body

by giving a costume life and deriving answers 1) and 2) from a costume itself.
